		Gut reactions to Jeff Brotemarkle's
		   2/4/97 response to my Challenge:

1)  How to render his sharings?  There are some ways to ren-
    der I have been considering, including:
    a)  Applying "Phaedrus's Knife", taking his words apart
        to apply logic to many of them.  
    b)  Looking to the work as a whole, and responding e-
        motionally.
    c)  Seeing where I fit into Jeff's system of thinking
        and seeing if it works.  Do I want to go where
        Jeff is?  Is it comfortable?  Is it productive?
        Is it helpful to me?  Is it helpful to others?
        Is it helpful to society in general?
    d)  Continuing to muse about the nature of self-pity
        and "fear-of-the-world" and try to see where I
        feel I am with regards to it.
    e)  Go back and re-read the original challenge and
        Jeff's original response to it, with my response
        to Jeff's response.  (Which I think I'll go do
        now...)
