Configuring Oracle Advanced Security Option

The Advanced Security Option pull-down option allows you to configure profile parameters for the Oracle Advanced Security option. The Oracle Advanced Security option enables network data encryption and checksumming, enhanced authentication methods including single sign-on, and support for Distributed Computing Environment (DCE) Integration.

To configure the Oracle Advanced Security option:

  1. Click the Profile icon.

  2. Choose Advanced Security Option from the drop-down list box. If this option is not available, then it was not installed.

  3. Choose or edit options as applicable.

  4. Choose Save Network Configuration from the File menu to save changes to SQLNET.ORA in $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin on UNIX or ORACLE_HOME\network\admin on Windows platforms, or choose Save As from the File menu to save under a different file name or path.
