You should only create an Oracle Names server on this node if you want the local network node to be the Oracle Names server for the entire region. This is not an function for client installations. To create an Oracle Names server, perform these tasks:

• Task 2: Create Oracle Names Servers

• Task 3: Create Net Service Names

• Task 4: Configure Clients
