The Aliases tab allows you to query, add or remove aliases in an Oracle Names server. An alias is an alternate name for a net service name, database service or database link.

Action

Query:	Click to query an existing alias in an Oracle Names server. Specify the alias in the Alias Name field.
Add:	Click to add a new alias specified in the Alias Name field . The valid original host name should be specified in the Canonical Name field.
Remove:	Click to remove the alias specified in the Alias Name field.
Execute button:	Click to perform the alias query, add or remove operation.

Aliases

Alias Name:	Enter the alias name to query, add or remove.
Canonical Name:	Enter the original host name.
